    On September 12th, 2009, I encountered Joseph Mangraviti at his book signing engagement at Borders Express in Woodbridge Mall. His smile was welcoming and he felt approachable. I asked to look at his book to browse through it and upon opening it randomly came upon the title "Let Love Will Lead The Way". Not only did his words touched me with the truthfulness of them but more so with the hopefulness and passion in them.
   The more I read the book "Hooked on You" the more joyful I became and appreciative of the fact that I had invested in it. He was real!
Here, in one moment of picking up a book and reading one poem, I could identify an artist with an inspired and positive outlook. In life we come across many treasures, but oftentimes we don't recognize them. For me, "Hooked on You" is a treasure that I would encourage everyone to look for. Thank you, Joseph!

   I have known Joseph for a brief time....but it so seems....that we have known each other for a very long time ! I have seen/felt in Joseph....an extremely sensitive soul....he is a poet and a writer....who wants to passionately experience life...and all its subtle nuances....and then ....more passionately ...pour these experiences in his writing ! Joseph is a great friend....ready to be of help....truly a spiritual kind of being !!! I must add that Joseph is a great human being....and our world needs more like him !!! May 27, 2009

   I suppose you come to a recommendation and you stop and think. What is this guy really like? I mean some recommendations sound as if they are selling shoes or something. Here I will just stop you in your tracks and say Joseph is for real. He came over to the US from Italy, he brought with him the romance and passions associated with the old country, and he turned it into poetry. He writes poetry that is accessible, emotional, personal, and above all inspirational. But it does not stop there. He views poetry as more than writing some lines that rhyme, for him it is a way of life, it helps you to breathe. As a fellow poet, I can certainly recommend Joseph and his philosophy. It does make you stop and think - and I got that line from Joseph's "The Magic and Power of Poetry". His collection of poetry "Hooked on You" is now available for those who wish to be fellow travelers. May 28, 2009
